Ministries for others
Food Distribution.
At Higher Ground we are blessed to be a blessing to those in need. Every month we offer food free of charge to our brothers and sisters in this community. God has blessed us to walk in the over-flow of his blessings, and we are pleased to offer this extended ministry to anyone in need.
Intercessory Prayer.
We pray for our Pastors, Higher Ground Christian Center Ministries, church family, and those that are in government and leadership positions. The Bible tells us in I Timothy 2:1-3 to pray that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty
Liberations Recovery.
Liberations Recovery Ministry is a tool to help its participant recover insight into the will, purpose and plan of God for their life, through the power in the Word of God. Its mission is to bring about change in the heart of the participant, to assist in the recovering of the life skills that were lost through the bonds of addiction. We offer table groups for both male and female, open discussion groups, speaker/presentation from multiple topics.

Marriage LAMPS (Light Aggressive Marriage Problem Solving).
Lamps will expose you to biblical principles on marriage and explain the proper application of these principles. By actively participating in LAMPS you’ll come to an understanding on how to develop a strategy for a happy marriage. If your marriage is good now, you can make it better. You will learn the techniques Deidre and I used to improve our marriage. These same techniques are being used to keep our marriage intact and rewarding.
Media.
The Kingdom of God is ever expanding in today's world. This ministry is dedicated to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone using advances in telecomunications and media technologies. From television video, to the Internet and beyond. Come and see the new and exciting ways we bring the Word of God to all the nations.
Men's.
This ministry is for men to come together and build, bond, and believe biblical principles, to help men walk as kings, priests, and prophets of the kingdom of God. We do this through fellowship. Our monthly men’s fellowship meeting is a book club where good dialogue takes place and men are edified, encouraged and enlightened.
Prison.
In this ministry, we bring the good news of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to men and women that are incarcerated in the prison system. Through the Words of God, many are born again, in our Lord and Savior Jesus " The Christ", and are encouraged and challenged to change their lives forever.
Singles.
In the Single's Ministry, we do a variety of activities. We go on group outings to movies, dinner and touring famous, local historical sites. We also have a book club in which we learn to apply biblical principles for singles who are preparing to be married in the future and to live successfully as singles now.
Women's.
In the scriptures: St. John 4:11 “Beloved," If God so loved us, we ought to love one another. Our purpose is to know the love of God. Will continue to develop the love of God in our lives, and that we can be affective ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The outworking of this love will help meet the needs of people, spiritually and naturally. The love of God transcends background and status so that people will experience the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father.

Youth.
Our Youth Ministry objective is to bring our youth into a more dedicated committed walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We do this through youth bible studies, conferences, and workshops. Also we encourage our youth to fellowship and build lasting Christian relationships in a safe environment. We want to build strong leaders for the Kingdom of God for the next generation.
